Background radiation in Severodvinsk normal - city administration
MOSCOW/SEVERODVINSK. April 7 (Interfax) - The background radiation in the city of Severodvinsk is described as normal and continues being watched, a spokesperson for the city administration said.
"The background radiation is normal, its levels are being monitored," the spokesperson said on the administration's website on Tuesday.
The fire at the local Zvyozdochka ship repair center is being tackled by "the forces and resources of the Federal Fire Service's special directorate number 18 of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry."
