Armenia expects Putin's visit soon

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - Armenia expects Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Yerevan in the near future, Armenian Foreign Ministry Edward Nalbandian said on Wednesday.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Armenia within the next few days to take part in events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide," Nalbandian said at negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Wednesday.

Yerevan expects that the Armenian and Russian presidents "will also meet in Moscow in May," he said.
