Russia to provide conditions for investment inflow from Southeast Asia to Far East - Medvedev

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev anticipates fruitful work with Southeast Asian countries after a number or agreements were signed earlier this week.

"All conditions will be provided in the Far Easter District for an inflow of new investments. We discussed this issue with colleagues in Khabarovsk and at negotiations in Vietnam and Thailand. Russia is stepping up cooperation with Asia, and the agreements concluded this week are only the beginning of our active joint work," Medvedev said on Facebook.

The Russian prime minister had visited Vietnam and Thailand earlier this week.

"Russia is also trying to provide favorable conditions for business. We are working permanently to improve the investment climate and remove administrative barriers. We are trying to provide special privileged conditions for work on Russia's Far East," Medvedev said at a meeting with members of the Thai business community in Bangkok on Wednesday.
