Gazprom investment program for 2015 to again be over 1 trln rubles
MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - Gazprom will increase its 2015 investment program from the initial 840 billion rubles to more than 1 trillion rubles.
Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told Rossiya 24 television: "Gazprom's investment program, which was approved late last year, allows us to proceed [with the Power of Siberia] strictly on schedule. But it must be noted that 2015 is shaping up quite well for Gazprom. We now see an opportunity for additional investment in our investment program, revising the Gazprom investment program upward. It can be said right now that Gazprom's investment program will be revised upward by no less than $4 billion."
"This is a significant amount and a large part of these funds can be allocated to Eastern Gas Program projects. This will make it possible for better timing in terms of the stipulated dates for commissioning production and transport capacity."
Gazprom usually reviews the investment program after H1. For the last several years, after the review, it consistently exceeded 1 trillion rubles.
