Putin unruffled by some Kremlin officials' income exceeding his own - Peskov
MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is unruffled by the fact that the annual income of a large number of Kremlin administration officials is far higher than his own, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
The 2014 income, spending and assets declarations of Putin and his administration were published on the presidential website on Wednesday. According to these reports, some Kremlin officials earned much more in 2014 than Putin's 7.5-million-ruble income for that year.
Putin has never criticized the income of officials from his administration, Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.
"People's incomes may differ drastically. They all have different backgrounds. Some of them worked in business, while others have bank deposits or some other sources of income. Their situations differ," he said.
"The most important thing is that all of them obey the law and declare everything them have properly," Peskov said.
