Ukrainian army claims ten attacks by Donbas militia
KYIV. April 16 (Interfax) - The militia shelled Ukrainian army positions ten times on Wednesday evening, using heavy weapons with calibers larger than 100mm, the army operation press center reported.
"The enemy attacked positions in the Shyrokyne area near Mariupol by use of 120mm mortars, tanks and a self-propelled artillery gun," the press center wrote on Facebook on Thursday morning.
According to it, the militia fired automatic grenade launchers, small arms and 120mm mortars in the Pisky area, and automatic grenade launchers near Avdiivka. Shots were fired from 120mm mortars after 9 p.m.
An army position near Stanitsa Luhanska came under attack of automatic grenade launchers and small firearms in the Luhansk region.
