Iran to be scarcely touched upon at NPT Review Conference - Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - The Iranian nuclear program will not be highlighted at the NPT Review Conference, in the opinion of Russian Foreign Ministry Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department Director Mikhail Ulyanov.
"I think that Iran will be scarcely touched upon at the Conference. This Conference is a wrong format for debates on Iran. The issue is being dealt with at negotiations between the P5+1 group and Tehran," he told reporters.
"The Review Conference is likely to laud the emergence of tangible progress and the chance to find a final solution to this problem by June 30," the Russian diplomat said.
