Moscow calls Kyiv claims of possible Russian involvement in Buzyna murder absurd, blasphemous
MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - The allegations of Anton Herashchenko, an assistant to the Ukrainian interior minister, that Russian security services may be involved in the murder of Ukrainian journalist Oles Buzyna are absurd and blasphemous, Russian Foreign Ministry Ombudsman for Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law Konstantin Dolgov said.
"The statement by assistant to the Ukrainian interior minister Herashchenko that the murder of Buzyna might have been arranged by Russian security services is both absurd and blasphemous," he said in a commentary published on the ministry website on Friday.
"It is hard to imagine an official representative of the Ukrainian authorities making a more absurd statement," the diplomat said.
Buzyna was killed on April 16 outside his house in Kyiv.
