Value of Russian energy sector exports down 30% in January-February 2015 - Rosstat
MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - Export of goods by Russia's fuel and energy sector fell 29.5% in January-February 2015 year-on-year to $38.8 billion, Rosstat reported.
Russian crude oil exports fell to $15 billion in 2M, 39.6% less than in the same period last year. The value of gas exports dropped 39.3% to $7.4 billion.
Fuel and energy sector exports accounted for 67.4% of total exports in 2M: crude oil accounted for 26% and gas for 12.9%.
Russia's trade turnover totaled $84.7 billion in January-February 2015 (30.1% less year-on-year), including $56.7 billion in exports (25.4% less and $28 billion in imports (37.9% less), Rosstat said, citing Central Bank data.
The trade surplus narrowed to $28.6 billion from $30.9 billion a year earlier.
