Arrival of U.S. troops at Lviv training range indicates Kyiv's breach of its commitments - Lavrov
MOSCOW. April 23 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry discussed ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis over the phone on Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry has reported.
Lavrov reaffirmed the need for the sides in the Ukrainian conflict to strictly abide by the Set of Measures to implement the peace agreements, brokered by the Normandy Quartet leaders at talks in the Belarusian capital Minsk on February 12, the ministry said.
"Lavrov also drew [Kerry's] attention to the fact that the arrival of soldiers from the 173rd U.S. Airborne Brigade at the Yavoriv training range near Lviv, as well as information that personnel from the U.S. military company Academy appeared within the ranks of Ukrainian forces in Donbas indicates that Kyiv has violated its commitments to withdraw all foreign units, military hardware and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine," it said.
