No Russians killed or wounded by earthquake in Nepal - Emergencies' Ministry

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - No Russians were killed or wounded by the earthquake in Nepal, Deputy Emergency Situations' Minister Vladimir Stepanov has told the press.

The Emergency Situations' Ministry has organized round-the-clock cooperation with the Russian embassy in Nepal, the Foreign Ministry crisis center, Rostourism and other federal authorities.

"According to the Foreign Ministry, there are no Russians among the killed or wounded. We have also received confirmation that the groups of Russian tourists who were ascending Mt. Everest feel well," Stepanov stressed.

The Emergencies' Ministry has arranged a hotline for reporting information about Russian citizens who could be staying in the calamity zone in Nepal and received 85 calls in a day.
