Radiation levels normal in Kyiv - State Emergency Service

KYIV. April 29 (Interfax) - Radiation levels are stable in Kyiv; they have not changed as a result of the fire on the Chernobyl Pushcha enterprise's premises, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.

"According to the official report of the Ukraine Hydrometeorological Center, radiation levels stood at 11 micro Roentgens per hour in Kyiv as of 10:30 a.m. on April 29 [the normal levels are 8-12 micro Roentgens per hour). Radiation levels are stable, the exposure dose on the surface and the content of radio-nuclides in water do not exceed the norms," the service said in a report published on Wednesday.
