Russian Grids, Energy Ministry not planning to sell an IDGC company in 2015 - Dergunova

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - The state is not planning to privatize one of the interregional distribution grid companies (IDGC) under the control of Russian Grids this year, Rosimushchestvo chief Olga Dergunova told journalists.

"We made inquiries several times to Russian Grids and the Energy Ministry, but did not receive [the response] that the company planned to do this in 2015," she said.

This involves a Russian Grids subsidiary, not a Rosimushchestvo or Russian Federation project, she said. "This is, in essence, the sale of an asset within a vertically integrated structure, like RZD selling its subsidiaries," she said.

Rosimushchestvo is trying to motivate the company to take this step, since the market has that expectation, she said. "We will likely nudge them toward this: 'Don't forget, the market is expecting this,'" she said.
