Armenian trade deficit narrows 35% in Q1
YEREVAN. May 6 (Interfax) - Armenia's trade deficit narrowed 35% to $410 million in Q1 2015, from $626.5 million a year previously, the National Statistics Service said.
Exports fell 23.1% to $267.6 million and imports were down 31.5% to $677.5 million.
Foreign trade turnover fell 28.5% year-on-year to $945.5 million.
Trade with CIS countries came to $227 million or 24% of the total and fell 40.6% year-on-year in Q1 2105.
Trade with Russia fell 41.2% to $190.3 million and trade with EU countries fell 31.7% to $258.8 million.
