Putin, Xi Jinping to discuss cooperation in military-technical, oil and gas sectors - Ushakov
MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Issues relating to military-technical cooperation and interaction in the oil and gas sector will be addressed in the negotiations conducted by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow on May 8, the Kremlin said.
"Military-technical cooperation and oil and gas issues will be discussed. I can't say anything about the documents now because work is being done on them," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
He reiterated that the issue of military-technical cooperation is traditional for top-level Russian-Chinese negotiations.
Ushakov said a large package of documents is being prepared for the negotiations between the Russian and Chinese leaders. Specifically, Putin and Xi Jinping are expected to issue a joint statement on strengthening the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation and on furthering mutually-profitable cooperation.
"Many documents are still pending approval," Ushakov said.
