Peskov not ruling out Putin-Kerry meeting if Washington confirms visit
MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is awaiting official confirmation of a visit to the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
Peskov also said he did not rule out a possible meeting between Kerry and Russian President Vladimir Putin if the U.S. official came to Russia.
"At this point, this option is only being discussed. We need to wait for official confirmation. If this [Kerry's visit to Sochi] is confirmed officially, and if their schedules coincide, [Putin-Kerry meeting] cannot be ruled out," Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
