Peskov on 'Normandy format' enlargement: Minsk deal implementation is key goal today
SOCHI. May 12 (Interfax) - The Kremlin believes that the most important goal at this point is to secure the implementation of the Minsk peace accords for Ukraine in full rather than discussing the possibility of enlarging the 'Normandy format'.
"What counts most today is not to broaden or narrow some formats. Rather, our key objective is to secure the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which were clearly formulated," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed this issue two days ago as well, he said.
