Power supply restored in Stanitsa Luhanska, Shchastya outskirts shelled again - governor

KYIV. May 13 (Interfax) - Power supply was restored in Stanitsa Luhanska and nearby villages on Tuesday night, head of the Luhansk region military-civilian administration Hennadiy Moskal has reported.

"There is power and tap water supply in the district, but mobile cell service has been unstable. We have not observed power outage emergencies," says a report posted on the Moskal website on Wednesday.

The region was more or less quiet in the past 24 hours, he said.

Hostilities were reported from the Shchastya area; the outskirts of that town came under grenade launcher and automatic weapon fire several times. No serious harm was done, and there was no information about possible casualties.

"The guns were silent in other traditional hotbeds of the region [Trekhizbenka, Krymske, Novotoshkivka, Troitske, Katerinivka and Orikhove]," the report said.

Moskal reported in the evening of May 12 that power supply to Stanitsa Luhanska and adjoining populated areas was discontinued on the territory of the Luhansk region uncontrolled by Kyiv and tap water supply was threatened to be stopped as a countermeasure.
