'Normandy format' contacts are not expected in near future - Peskov
MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - 'Normandy format' contacts dealing with the settlement in eastern Ukraine are not planned in the near future, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"No," Peskov told reporters who asked whether 'Normandy format' contacts were planned after the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
The possibility of the U.S. accession to the 'Normandy format' was not discussed at the Putin-Kerry negotiations on Tuesday.
The 'Normandy format' promoting the peace process in Donbas currently comprises of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France.
