LPR reports truce violations
LUHANSK. May 15 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian army breached the ceasefire five times in the past 24 hours, a spokesman for the militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has said.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces are not honoring the truce. Five violations have been observed [in the past 24 hours] and 160 since the moment the truce took effect," he told the Luhansk information center.
The attacks were conducted on the village of Novokyivka in the Krasnodon district, the town of Zhelobok in the Slovianoserbsk district, and the villages of Vesela Hora and Obozne in the Slovianoserbsk district.
The army was firing guns mounted on armored personnel carriers, mortars, grenade launchers and self-propelled artillery guns.
"There were no casualties amongst servicemen and the civilian population. Fire was not returned," the militia spokesman said.
