Defense Ministry should comment on alleged questioning of Russian Spetsnaz soldier in Ukraine - Peskov
MOSCOW. May 18 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry should comment on the video showing interrogation of an alleged Russian Spetsnaz serviceman which has been posted by Ukraine, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"Both us and the Defense Ministry have said time after time that there are no Russian servicemen in Donbas. I cannot comment on these materials, I think this should better be done by specialists of our Defense Ministry, who can say, for instance, whether these materials look credible," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
He was commenting on the video of interrogation of a person seized in the town of Shchastya who identified himself as a Russian Spetsnaz contract serviceman and answering a question as whether he could confirm the alleged detention of Russian servicemen in Ukraine.
"Naturally, I cannot confirm this, we are not the addressee to be asked such questions," Peskov said.
