Explosion obstructs rail services to Luhansk republic
KYIV. May 18 (Interfax) - Rail services to the self-proclaimed Luhansk people's republic have been disrupted by an explosion at the 47th kilometer of the railway stretch between Sentyanivka and Shipilov in the Popasna district.
Preliminary reports indicate that an explosion damaged railway tracks on Monday, the press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said.
The incident occurred on the contact line with illegal armed groups. An investigation has been started, the press service said.
The Luhansk regional prosecutor's office rated the explosion as a subversive act (Article 113 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code).
