Kyiv tears up defense cooperation agreement with Moscow - Ukrainian minister

KYIV. May 20 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian-Russian defense industrial cooperation agreement has been rescinded, Ukraine's Fuel and Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said.

"The agreement has been rescinded," he told reporters after a Cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.

While opening a government meeting earlier, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said that the Ukrainian government is taking a decision to terminate the defense industrial cooperation agreement signed with Russia on May 26, 1993.
