Moscow interested in developing inter-parliamentary ties with Kazakhstan - Lavrov
MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - Moscow is interested in developing inter-parliamentary ties with Kazakhstan, says Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"We have a very intensive agenda, and we are interested in the development of inter-parliamentary ties in all these areas" of cooperation, Lavrov said at negotiations with Kazakh Senate Chairman Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev in Moscow.
Moscow is "satisfied with its bilateral relationship with Kazakhstan," he said.
"Apart from deepening cooperation at a purely bilateral level, Russia and Kazakhstan are actively working on strengthening interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union, addressing issues in forming a common security space within the CSTO [the Collective Security Treaty Organization], and also interact within the SCO [Shanghai Cooperation Organization]," Lavrov said.
