Lithuanian diplomats have not met with Lithuanian man detained on suspicion of espionage in Moscow
MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Lithuanian diplomats have not received access to the citizen of Lithuania detained in Russia on suspicion of espionage, the Lithuanian embassy in Moscow said.
"We sent a request to Russia yesterday [on Wednesday], but we have still not received a response," the Lithuanian embassy told Interfax on Thursday.
"We still don't have access to our citizen," the source said.
The Russian Federal Security Service earlier reported on the detention of a Lithuanian intelligence officer, which was made at the moment when he was receiving secret information.
The Lithuanian embassy in Moscow has not commented on the situation with the arrest of the Lithuanian citizen in Russia.
