Four Ukraine Constitutional Court judges questioned in 'power usurpation' case - prosecutors

KYIV. May 26 (Interfax) - Four judges of Ukraine's Constitutional Court have been questioned as part of a 'power usurpation' inquiry, but charges have not been filed against them so far, Yuriy Sevruk, who heads the criminal cases supervision department of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office, has said.

"As for this 'power usurpation' case, indeed, SBU [Security Service of Ukraine] is investigating claims that Constitutional Court judges issued an unlawful ruling, which abetted the usurpation of power. The judges are currently being questioned. Four judges have already been interviewed. But I cannot disclose their names. None of them has been charged so far," he told a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
