Russian president accepts credentials from new ambassadors of 13 countries
MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday accepted credentials from 13 new ambassadors of foreign countries, including Austria and Saudi Arabia.
The ceremony was held in Alexander's Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.
Delivering their credentials to the Russian head of state were: Emil Brix (Austria), Arben Gazioni (Albania), Remigijus Motuzas (Lithuania), Goce Karajanov (Macedonia), Mireille Pettiti (Monaco), Abdul Rahman Al Rassi (Saudi Arabia), Mamadou Dem (Senegal), Peter Priputen (Slovakia), Carlos Sorreta (Philippines), Julio Cesar Prado Espinosa (Ecuador), Grum Abay Teshome (Ethiopia), Nomasonto Maria Sibanda-Thusi (South Africa), and Telar Ring Deng (South Sudan).
Once the credentials are received by the Russian head of state, the newly arriving foreign ambassadors and permanent representatives of international organizations in Russia will have formally assumed office.
