Russia dispatches anti-diphtheric serum for child in Barcelona
MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - An anti-diphtheric serum has been sent to Spain, by order of Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova's, for the medical treatment of a child hospitalized in Barcelona, Health Ministry spokesman Oleg Salagai said.
"Diphtheria is an extraordinary occurrence for Spain whose doctors failed to find an anti-diphtheric serum at home," Salagai told Interfax on Monday.
"The Spanish Health, Social Policy and Equality Ministry had turned to Russian colleagues for assistance. The serum was quickly transported to Barcelona," Salagai said.
