Poroshenko claims detention of twelve saboteurs, including Russian citizen, in Maryinka
KYIV. June 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has reported the 'liberation' of Maryinka in the June 4 operation of the Ukrainian army and the detention of a group of saboteurs, among them a citizen of Russia.
"The town was 'cleared' on June 4 on the orders of the supreme commander; the operation involved servicemen of the 95th airmobile brigade, the 25th airborne brigade, the 28th brigade and the National Guard. I can tell you today that Maryinka has been fully liberated from the saboteurs. Twelve persons, among them a citizen of the Russian Federation, who resisted the Ukrainian Armed Forces with arms, have been detained," Poroshenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
