MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Suleiman Zainalobidov, who is believed to have led an illegal armed gang acting in the Khasavyurt district of Dagestan, was neutralized outside Khasavyurt on Saturday morning, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported.
"According to information possessed by the NAC operational headquarters in Dagestan, Zainalobidov had been operating illegally for more than 10 years, and he swore fealty to the international terrorist organization ISIS last December. He was directly involved in attacks on law enforcement officials, particularly the killing of an officer from the local branch of the Russian FSB [Federal Security Service] in December 2013, and in extortions of money from businessmen," the NAC said in a statement circulated in Moscow.
