112 policemen, 154 national guardsmen killed in Donbas operation - Poroshenko
KYIV. June 8 (Interfax) - A total of 112 police officers and 154 members of the Ukrainian National Guard have been killed since the special operation began in Donbas, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko said.
"A total of 112 police officers and 154 National Guard servicemen have been killed since the beginning of the ATO [anti-terror operation]," he said at an award ceremony for ATO participants in Kyiv on Monday.
A total of 20,000 law enforcers have served in the ATO zone since fighting began, the president said.
"Today 3,275 police officers and National Guard members continue their service in the ATO zone, on the front, in the frontline zone," he said.
