Russian Emergency Situations Ministry convoy delivers humanitarian aid to Donbas
MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's 29th automobile convoy delivered another shipment of humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk on Thursday, the ministry press service told journalists.
"All Emergency Situations Ministry automobiles carrying humanitarian cargo have arrived in Donetsk and Luhansk. Their unloading is beginning at the depots now," he said.
There were no incidents on the way to Donbas, all automobiles are in working order, and, after having been unloaded, the convoys will depart back for the Rostov region, it said.
More than 100 automobiles transported over 1,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk on Thursday. The cargo contains food, including canned meat, fish, and dairy products, sugar, salt, and also primary necessities and teaching materials and aids for educational institutions.
Russian Emergency Situations Ministry automobile convoys have delivered over 36,000 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Donbas since August 2014.
