Japanese companies examining gas projects in Russia - Donskoi
MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Japanese companies are examining a host of Russian gas projects for cooperation, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergei Donskoi said on his Facebook page.
"We have reliable information that Japanese companies are currently examining several projects on cooperation in the gas area," he said.
A Natural Resources and Environment Ministry spokesman declined to specify which projects were being examined.
Gazprom reported earlier that Japanese Itochu plans to invest in the project to develop the Sobinskoye field. In addition, Gazprom spoke of the possible participation by foreign partners in the development of satellite fields surrounding the Chayandinskoye field.
