Medvedev comments on Poroshenko's labeling of Russian loan to Ukraine as 'bribe'

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has offered his comments in response to remarks made by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who said that Russia's $3-billion loan granted to his country in 2013 was a 'bribe' to his ousted predecessor Viktor Yanukovych.

"If, in Poroshenko's opinion, the $3-billion sovereign loan received by Ukraine from Russia is a bribe, in this case the billions [of dollars] being negotiated by the leadership of Ukraine and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) is the organization of a large-scale theft," Medvedev wrote on Facebook.
