Plans for Russian arms exports being fulfilled despite known difficulties - Russian official

KUBINKA, Moscow region. June 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian defense industry enterprises and arms exporters are fulfilling plans for the export of Russian weapons and military hardware despite certain difficulties, Alexander Fomin, director of the country's Federal Service for Military-Technological Cooperation, has said.

"The results of the past six months indicate that the plans have been fulfilled in general despite the difficulties mainly caused by known restrictions. The implementation of these plans does not cause us concern," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Army 2015 international military and technological forum, which opened in the Moscow region on Tuesday.

"These plans envisage exports of Russian weapons and military hardware worth slightly over $14 billion," Fomin said, declining to name any concrete results for the first half of the year.

Russia's arms export plans for the year "will be fulfilled," Fomin said.
