RDIF may create joint fund with Saudi Arabia

ST. PETERSBURG. June 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is not ruling out the creation of a joint investment fund with Saudi Arabia, RDIF General Director Kirill Dmitriev said during the Russian-Saudi business forum in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.

"We have created joint [investment] funds with the UAE, with Kuwait, with Qatar, with Bahrain and perhaps, at some point we will create a joint fund with Saudi Arabia," he said.

Prince Mohammad Bin Salman's visit to Russia "is an historic event that could radically improve relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia."

"We are ready to invest with you [Saudi business], both in Russia and in joint Russian projects in Saudi Arabia," Dmitriev said.
