DPR and LPR leaders unlikely to attend Ukraine Contact Group meeting on June 23 - source
MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - The leaders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) People's Republics are unlikely to attend a meeting of the trilateral Contact Group for Ukraine, due to take place in the Belarusian capital Minsk on June 23, a source in the group organizing the upcoming talks told Interfax.
"On June 23, the members of the Contact Group are expected to document an understanding concerning the withdrawal of weapons with a caliber less than 100mm and sign an appropriate document. However, this document will be signed on the part of Donbas at the level of its authorized representatives. The heads of DPR and LPR are unlikely to attend this meeting," he said.
