Ukrainian prosecutor general asks U.S. to help investigate corruption in prosecution offices
KYIV. June 18 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin has asked the U.S. to allocate specialists to help investigate corruption possibly committed by former prosecution officials.
In particular, Shokin asked his U.S. counterparts to engage specialists from relevant services as consultants to help conduct an impartial criminal investigation related to statements by former Security Service chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko accusing former prosecutors of corruption, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
