Greece ready to resume talks on Burgas-Alexandroupolis pipeline
ST. PETERSBURG. June 19 (Interfax) - Greece's new government is ready to resume talks on the Burgas-Alexandroupolis gas pipeline project, Greek Energy Minister Panagiotis Lafazanis said during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Lafazanis said the Greek government was ready to discuss "any options" for resuming the talks on this project. Greece, he said, was trying to turn itself into a regional energy hub and its goal was for any pipeline to play a role in the region's stability.
To achieve that, Greece is trying to pursue a "multi-vectoral" energy policy, the minister said. Such a policy was not aimed against anybody and would not give anybody any priorities. "We want to cooperate with all players on equal terms," Lafazanis said.
