Moscow, Oman favor soonest launch of national dialogue in Yemen - ministry
MOSCOW. June 23 (Interfax) - Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, has discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf with Omani Ambassador in Moscow Yousuf Al Zadjali.
"Opinions were exchanged on the situation evolving in the Middle East and the Gulf zone, with emphasis put on the Yemen situation. The need was emphasized for the soonest political settlement of the Yemen crisis through the launch of constructive and inclusive national dialogue," says a report published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website on Tuesday.
The ministry said that the sides had touched upon "practical issues of bilateral Russian-Omani relations, including preparations to celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries to be observed on September 26, 2015."
