EU countries open to Russians despite all 'perturbations' - Ambassador Usackas
MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - The European Union remains interested in expanding humanitarian cooperation with Russia despite the ongoing crisis in the relations, Head of the EU Delegation to Russia Vygaudas Usackas said on Wednesday.
He said at a press briefing dedicated to the launch of the EU Visa Information System (VIS) in Russia on September 14 that irrespective of all perturbations and problems in [Russia-EU] relations, they were interested in broadening humanitarian exchanges and as many Russians visiting the EU as possible.
