AvtoVaz fully resumes production
SAMARA. June 24 (Interfax) - OJSC AvtoVaz on Wednesday returned to regular work after suspending production due to problems supplying parts, the company's press service said.
"Today work was resumed in the production of Lada 4x4, so the plant has finally returned to usual operations," a company representative said.
On June 22 AvtoVaz completely shut down production due to difficulties in the supply of auto parts (seats and exhaust systems, sensors). In almost a day, as a result of successful talks with suppliers, production was partially resumed and the work of the assembly was launched in the ordinary regime with the exclusion of that of Lada 4x4, which is planned to be resumed on June 24.
AvtoVaz's press service also said that the halt of the lines is not affecting the company's production schedule, production in Izhevsk is proceeding according to plan.
