Belarus Potash Co, Indian Potash sign memorandum on supplies
MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - Belarusian Potash Company (BPC), which trades potash for Belarusian miner Belaruskali, signed a memorandum with Indian Potash Limited (IPL) on June 25 regarding regular deliveries of potassium chloride in the period 2016-2021, BPC said in a statement.
BPC has yet to sign a long-term contract this year to supply potash to India.
Russia's Uralkali signed a contract with IPL at the beginning of May to supply 800,000 tonnes of potassium chloride at $332 per tonne between May 2015 and May 2016. The contract's price is $10 higher than that indicated in the previous contract, and the volume is the same as in 2014.
Canpotex, a trader for North American potassium chloride producers Potash Corp., Agrium and Mosaic, has signed a contract to ship potash to India until March 2016 at $332 a tonne CFR. It will ship around 1.3 million tonnes under the contract.
