Russian woman killed in Tunisia identified - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the death of a Russian woman in a terrorist attack in Tunisia last Friday.
"As a result of the DNA test conducted by the Charles Nicole Clinic on the unidentified bodies of the victims of the June 26 terror attack in the resort town of Sousse, the Russian woman has been identified as Khomenko, born 1961, who had been holidaying at Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba," the foreign ministry said on its website.
The Russian Embassy in Tunis is making preparations for the woman's body repatriation to Russia.
"Another victim of the terror attack is her daughter, a Russian citizen, Khomenko, born 1984, who sustained gunshot wounds in the shoulder and leg. She underwent a surgery on the same day. Currently, the Russian woman is thought to be in a satisfactory condition," the statement reads.
