Ukraine, creditors group agree on confidentiality conditions - joint statement
KYIV. July 1 (Interfax) - Ukraine and members of the ad hoc creditors committee have reached an agreement on confidentiality arrangements that will allow to start negotiating a possible solution with the participation of Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko next week, the parties said in a joint statement.
"Ukraine and members of the ad hoc creditors committee reached agreement on confidentiality arrangements that will allow principal to principal negotiations on the substance of possible solution to start next week," the statement posted on the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's website reads reads.
"The parties have agreed to enter such negotiations in good faith, with no preconditions and with the objective of concluding an agreement on the terms of the debt operation as soon as possible," the statement posted on the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's website reads.
The meeting at which confidentiality arrangements were secured took place in Washington on June 30, it reads. A delegation led by Ukraine's envoy for debt Vitaly Lisovenko, members of the Ukraine ad hoc creditors committee and representatives of the International Monetary Fund took part in it.
"The meeting provided a forum for a useful exchange of views on the Ukrainian macroeconomic setting and technical aspects of Ukraine's envisaged debt operation," the statement reads.
