Russia to set up space-based layer of its early warning system by 2020 - Deputy PM Rogozin

MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will restore the space-based component of its missile early warning system by 2020, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Wednesday.

"This objective will be achieved by 2020, including through the establishment of the unified space system, that is, the restoration of the orbital constellation of missile early warning satellites," Rogozin said in presenting a bill on the Roscosmos state corporation at the Federation Council on Wednesday.
