Pilot training center in St. Pete closed for massive falsifications - Investigative Committee
MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Krylya Nevy (Wings of Neva) pilot training center in St. Petersburg has been stripped of its license for training pilots and is stopping its operations after the Investigative Committee identified massive falsifications at it related to the issue of diplomas, spokesman for the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin has announced.
"Based on the conclusions of an unscheduled certification inspection prompted by numerous indentified breaches of requirements to the training process the Federal Air Transport Agency has decided to withdraw the certificate (license) from Krylya Nevy center and stop its operations," Markin said to Interfax on Wednesday.
He said that at the motion of the Northwestern Department of the Investigative Committee for Transport the Federal Air Transport Agency decided to cancel 46 certificates of amateur pilots, commercial pilots and airline pilots previously issued by the center.
