Putin urges drafting of SCO convention on fighting extremism

UFA. July 10 (Interfax) - It is important to implement the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) cooperation program on fighting terrorism and separatism for 2016-2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a news conference following SCO and BRICS summits in Ufa.

"We consider it important not to postpone and to start implementing the cooperation program passed at the [SCO] summit on cooperation in fighting terrorism and separatism in 2016-2018 and start drafting an SCO convention on fighting extremism," Putin said.
