Ukrainian Security Service detains two Right Sector members involved in Mukacheve events - Service spokesperson
KYIV. July 14 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Security Service has detained two members of the extremist organization Right Sector, which is outlawed in Russia, on the counts of involvement in the Mukacheve events, Ukrainian Security Service spokesperson Olena Hitlyanska wrote on her Facebook page on Monday night.
"As a result of a special operation, the Ukrainian Security Service has detained two members of the Right Sector from amongst persons involved in the July 11 events in Mukacheve," the report said.
It also noted that the detainees had been hiding from the police and carrying weapons.
The Ukrainian Security Service is carrying out urgent investigative procedures jointly with the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office. The search continues in cooperation with special-purpose units of the Interior Ministry and the National Guard.
