All Tu-95MS crew members used rescue parachutes - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - The crash of a Tupolev Tu-95MS missile carrier in Khabarovsk Territory on Tuesday may have been caused by equipment failure, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"According to preliminary data, the crash of the Tu-95MS in Khabarovsk Territory was caused by equipment failure," the ministry said in a statement obtained by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.

"All crew members were able to leave the crashed plane by using rescue parachutes," the ministry said.
